In addition to the speed at which he understood the issues, digested the information and devised an ingenious method of presenting this to the Court to advance his arguments, Joseph Giret KC demonstrated an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of the law in question. He dealt with vast and complex issues of human rights and difficulties previous similar injunctions had not faced before.

Mr Puvanesam Kanagaratnam

Joseph was flexible and pragmatic in his approach, and, importantly for us, understood the ‘real world’ business, commercial and operating challenges that exist in the sector and environment our client operated in. This knowledge combined with Joseph’s extraordinary legal, technical expertise and attention to detail resulted in a formidable Defence being produced for our client.

Licensed Professional Access

Joseph has a tremendous ability to digest and summarise what appears to be a complex and difficult on paper into a simple and straightforward dispute with his fluid, friendly and skilful style of advocacy, making him a force of nature in the courtroom.

Mr Puvanesam Kanagaratnam

We were introduced to Joseph as a Leading Silk, to assist us with a commercial contract dispute that to us seemed a task as deep as it was wide, and we are truly grateful that we had the fortune to work together in litigation that was ultimately successful for us.

Described by others as an ‘iron fist in a velvet glove’, we were hopeful our own experiences would find Joseph to be of that ilk and he certainly did not disappoint, showing us all the hallmarks we’d expect of leading counsel and vindicating our decision to enlist his services as a Leading Silk, that which he clearly is.

Joseph, via his considerable skill and experience, was able to break down our perceived complexities and compile cogent and common sense legal arguments that made sense to us as a direct access client. Joseph’s style puts clients at ease with a bedside manner that is reassuring, calm, and supportive but highly strategic and interwoven with a deep knowledge of the law. Joseph was attentive to our needs and always willing and able to support and guide us. Joseph quickly earned our trust and gave us great and increasing confidence throughout our engagement, manifested in laser sharp legal arguments that cut through the noise with apparent ease and culminating in a formidable performance in the court room.
