Professional Background
I am a former City of London solicitor originally specialising in corporate finance and hedge funds. I have since spent more than 20 years combining in-house counsel and operational roles leading companies, venture collaborations and non-profit organisations, with particular experience in Cambridge’s technology and engineering sector. That combination gives me a practical understanding of legal risk and the realities of running organisations, alongside an engineering problem-solving approach.
Mediation Style
I provide a calm, structured and inclusive setting in which parties can speak candidly and examine the issues beneath their stated positions. I am pragmatic and commercially minded, while recognising that disputes involving family businesses, founders or professional partnerships can carry a significant personal history as well as a financial dimension. My aim is not to impose a compromise, but to help the people involved find a clear way through the impasse and develop an outcome they can implement.
