Donal Moran

Donal's extensive legal experience has touched upon a wide range of legal aspects. He is an expert in conducting ADR in both costs and non-costs litigation. He can provide binding/non-binding opinions in legal costs-based matters as a specialised accredited evaluative mediator.

Donal is a senior costs lawyer and accredited civil and commercial evaluative mediator who has worked in civil legal costs for over 25 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Legal & Business Studies from Waterford SET University.

Donal has rights of audience in all the higher courts and has the right to conduct costs litigation. He commenced his legal career with Costs Auditing Plc, representing the interests of several large insurers. He then obtained considerable experience working for two national law firms, Russell Jones & Walker and Meruit, part of Lyons Davidson Solicitors, before setting up DJM Costs Lawyers & Mediators in 2004. He has amassed extensive practical, advocacy and ADR experience for both claimants and defendants in civil and commercial litigation. He can adeptly bring his acquired knowledge and expertise to resolve any dispute.
