Practising at the Bar of England & Wales, the Bar of Ireland, as an EU Advocate, the Bar of New Zealand, and at the Australian Federal and Victorian Bar, Jacob accepts a variety of instructions and international appointments. As a Chartered Banker and former Special Officer advising the National Crime Agency, he has a background on both sides of the regulatory field and has mediated a variety of claims.
Jacob's qualifications and Chartered fellowships all stem from appointments and experience advising governments, boards, beneficiaries, trusts & trustees, and private clients. He specialises in resolving high value Chancery, Probate, Trust and Estate disputes (including as a TEP and member of the Chancery Bar Association).
Passionate about ESG and EDI, Jacob was elected FRSA for his work on discrimination. He has a niche employment, education law and disability discrimination practice which focuses on resolving education, professional body, and disciplinary disputes, obtaining adjustments for disabled students and practitioners. Jacob was recently appointed a Trustee and Board Member of the Snowdon Trust, this lived experience enables him to effectively mediate in all areas of Employment, Education, and Regulatory disputes.
