This all takes place in a private and confidential setting.

Katie is an accredited mediator in civil and commercial mediation and is a non-practising solicitor.
She was admitted as a solicitor in September 2001. As a trainee solicitor, she completed seats in crime, residential conveyancing, commercial litigation, personal injury/clinical negligence, and family/matrimonial. Post-qualification, she specialised in clinical negligence as a solicitor and as a Senior Associate.
Katie took a career break from May 2013 until June 2023 to take care of her young family. During this time, she volunteered as a pro-bono legal adviser at a free legal advice centre advising on a wide range of legal issues including employment, housing, family, education, benefits, wills and probate, crime, and pre-action civil litigation matters. She was also a Treasurer at a local pre-school and helped with fundraising and teacher support at a local primary school.
Katie qualified as a mediator in June 2023 and is a CMC Registered and IMI Qualified Mediator. She is now a full time mediator and still volunteers at the free legal advice centre.
