Trust / TOLATA and Wills / Inheritance Act
Jan 2023 – Successfully settled a dispute – with a claim under Part 8 brought under the Inheritance Act (Provisions for Family and Dependents) Act 1975. The matter was settled with a single one off payment.
July 2022 - Successfully settled a dispute – concerning a estate of a late deceased between siblings.
July 2021 – successfully settled a dispute between siblings and step mother following a dispute over the father’s estate concerning multiple rental properties in Southampton – after 10 hour marathon mediation
Dec 2017 - Sunny successfully settled a circa £4 million dispute amongst family members involving numerous properties that had been purchased over decades, re-mortgaged or sold to fund future property purchases and business ventures
Dec 2016 – In a dispute that centred on s.1 of the Inheritance (provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975, TOLATA 1996, the mediation allowed for settlement and closure. The settlement reached saved thousands of pound in trial costs.

September 2024. -Meditated a dispute over whether an agreement was reached in the 1990s such that the claimant held a property in her sole on trust for the Defendant. Life interests also came into play along with considerable amounts being made towards a mortgage.

Oct 2022 – Successfully settled a complicated and long running dispute over the renovation and conversation of multi-flat premises in Kentish Town.
May 2022 - Successfully settled a general building dispute between a homeowner and her builders. The dispute was complicated by various provisions in the contract agreed between the parties – and additional works and quotes that had to be carried out.
Feb 2022 – successfully settled a claim by a constructions company against a company consulting on various aspect of a project (business to business). The claim related in essence to outstanding invoices and a counterclaim for purported over payments.

September 2022 – Mediated a boundary dispute – where injunctive relief had been obtained – with cross claims for trespass and loss of rent.
June 2022 – Successfully settled a long running boundary dispute over a garden line and proposed extension.

November 2024 – successfully mediated and settled a dispute between a large national energy supplier and Midlands based commercial property company – concerning energy bills to various sites on the same location.
Aug 2020 – Successfully settled a dispute between a farming business and supplier of Brooders which were purported not fit for purpose resulting in the loss of Pheasants captives and livestock.
Feb 2017 - Sunny successfully resolved a claim between a serviced office company and their tenants over unpaid service charges. The tenant made counterclaims for breach of contractual terms concerning the provision of services.
Dec 2015 – Successfully settled a dispute between a between Pharmaceutical companies concerning business to business supply.

Dec 2018 - Sunny successfully settled a dispute over the largest Bill of Costs faced by a Royal College, which would have otherwise gone to a 14-day assessment hearing. Following a separate mediation in which liability for medical negligence was admitted, a second mediation was held to resolve issues over costs. Both parties selected Sunny for his impartially and professionalism.
Solicitors Costs Dispute / Professional Negligence & Dispute with Clients
Apr 2019 - Sunny was happy to resolve a dispute over fees between Solicitors and their client. Solicitors had pursued a client for £50,000 (fees and interest). The client was contesting that invoices as having been paid for the work properly done and proposing to bring a counterclaim in professional negligence along with making a compliant to the SRA. The mediation process resolved all issues.
Charity Disputes
Dec 2016 - Sunny mediated a dispute between two competing committees of a large London Sikh Gurdwara. The mediation was attended by 40 members of the committee, and despite competing claims for management, an agreement was reached in principle on all issues in dispute. A future date for an AGM was to be fixed between solicitors.
