Phoebe Whitlock’s Reflections on Copyright and Creativity in the Age of AI

Last Thursday, new member Phoebe Whitlock participated as a featured speaker at the 31st Edition of the IPR Gorilla Virtual Conference. This year’s theme, “Intellectual Property at the Crossroads of Innovation, Sustainability & AI,” brought together global thought leaders to explore the shifting landscape of IP in a rapidly evolving technological world.

Phoebe contributed to Panel 3: “Copyright and Creativity in the Age of AI and Automation,” where she shared insights into how automation is redefining creative ownership, authorship, and the legal frameworks surrounding them. Her perspective helped illuminate copyright law's challenges and opportunities in the age of generative AI and machine learning. Other Panellists came from different global jurisdictions and shared their expertise as well.

We were proud to see Phoebe participate in such an important conversation, and we look forward to continuing these discussions as innovation pushes the boundaries of intellectual property.
