John is an in-house lawyer in the technology industry. He provides strategic and practical advice on all aspects of data protection law and practice. He drafts and negotiates data protection terms in substantial technology transactions. And he advises on projects involving AI legal issues.
He is a Solicitor (England & Wales) and holds the designation Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and is a member of the Society for Computers and Law, and the British Computer Society.
He is also an independent mediator, and mediate regularly in commercial, workplace, education and other disputes.
John has over 30 years’ experience in London law firms (as Partner and Associate) and international organisations (as in-house solicitor) advising and representing UK and international businesses, organisations and individuals on corporate/ commercial and employment law including: mergers, acquisitions and disposals of private companies; business sales and purchases; joint ventures; professional partnerships; commercial contracts; banking/finance; secured lending; venture capital; contentious and non-contentious employment law.
