In addition to his work on recruitment matters, John also acts for clients in disputes of the following kinds:
John’s experience as an advocate in the courtroom and representing clients at mediations has convinced him that mediation is the preferable option for all the parties to a dispute in almost every case. Litigation in England and Wales is simply too costly to be a viable option for most individuals and SMEs. Larger businesses may be able to afford to litigate but it is still likely to provide a poor return on the required investment of time and money. Mediation is cost effective and opens the door to the possibility of creative settlement on terms that no court could order.
A graduate of the basic and advanced modules of the long-established Harvard Negotiation Institute at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, John is committed to alternative dispute resolution and fascinated by negotiation theory and the psychology of disputes.
