Professional Background

Michael has over thirty years’ experience in global financial markets, including senior leadership roles in derivatives, foreign exchange and commodities within major international banks. He has worked extensively across the UK, Asia and other international markets, bringing a broad commercial perspective to dispute resolution.

In addition to his financial markets experience, Michael has held roles in the funds management sector and served on the board of the International Swaps & Derivatives Association (ISDA), working with leading institutions and regulators. He also has significant experience of managing teams and complex relationships across different jurisdictions, supported by postgraduate training in organisational psychology.

Michael has experience mediating a range of commercial, property and workplace disputes, including:

  • Joint venture disputes relating to property development and commercial arrangements
  • Property disputes involving shared ownership, lease defects and development issues
